About Us
St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is the
flagship hospital of the St. Edward Mercy Health Network, and is a general
acute care hospital licensed for 343 beds. The Health Network also
includes three critical access hospitals in Paris (North Logan Mercy Hospital),
Ozark (Mercy Hospital Turner Memorial), and Waldron (Mercy Hospital of Scott
County). We also have clinics in Van Buren, Waldron, Paris, and Mansfield.
Our Mission
Rooted in Jesus? healing mission, and faithful to the
Sisters of Mercy ministry tradition marked by justice, service,
excellence, stewardship and respect for the dignity of each person,
St. Edward Mercy implements and advocates for innovative health
and social services to improve the health and quality of life
of individuals and families in the community, with particular
concern for people who are underserved and poor. In doing so,
we make a difference by touching the lives of those we serve
with compassion and exceptional Mercy Service.
